Spring 2010 Global Health Field Research Award winners announced
The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health recently announced their Global Health Field Research Award winners for the spring of 2010. Fifteen current Hopkins students were selected to receive the $3,5000 awards. The objective of the Global Health Field Research Award program is to enhance the recruitment of students into global health research and practice careers by providing them the means to work with faculty mentors and to travel overseas to gain valuable experience. All students submitted a research project proposal based in an international location to be considered for the award.
Consistent with the program's goal to support students in a wide range of disciplines necessary to respond to today's global health challenges, this group of fifteen awardees features students pursuing degrees in a variety of fields.
