Center for Global Health receives grant from Gilead Foundation

The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health has been awarded a $100,00 grant to create the Paul S. Lietman Global Health Travel Fellowship for Housestaff. This fellowship is named in honor of Dr. Paul Lietman, a specialist in bacterial and viral infections and longtime chief of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Brittany Thomas, an undergraduate student at the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts & Sciences and 2014 Global Health Established Field Placement (GHEFP) awardee, is spending this summer working on diarrhoeal disease research in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
