Event Summary

Webinar: Measuring effective coverage and quality of care

Assistant Professor Melinda Munos and Assistant Scientist Ashley Sheffel

During this webinar, speakers will present methods for estimating effective coverage (EC) cascades in LMICs, including quality-adjusted coverage, and panelists will discuss issues around data interpretation and data use. Standard coverage measures do not account for quality of services received by women and children and may not fully reflect the impact of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH&N) programs. Under the Improving Measurement and Program Design project (Improve) we have developed evidence-based methods for conducting EC analyses by conducting methodological research and piloting the methods across seven service areas to understand the issues and challenges in conducting EC analyses.
