In my 4 week period based in Honiara, I wish to lead a medical team to help the National Referral Hospital ER with local pediatric case presentations. I also plan to spend a significant portion of time functioning as a mobile clinic, or work in rural hospital clinics. This should provide a unique opportuity to achieve my clinical goals of building medical knowledge, clinical skills and procedural skills with emphasis on tropical medicine and issues surrounding global health.

Since we are a major teaching hospital in the US, I would love to share our experiences and set up work shops and work with interested local training pediatric doctors and students. I am sure it will be extremely educational for both parties to have this exchange.
