Validating diarrhea indicators in Peru

We are conducting a study to validate indicators of diarrhea treatment in household surveys. Information on diagnosis, severity, and treatment for children with diarrhea aged < 5 years will be recorded as part of a larger facility-based study. A sample of children will be followed up at home within 2 weeks of the consultation. The caregiver will be interviewed about the diarrhea episode and treatments received using standard survey questions as well as new questions.
