Validation of Maternal Recal of Antenatal Care Services in Rural Nepal
The health indicator data collected by the Demographic Health Survey (DHS) and Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) is used to track low and middle income countries’ health status and inform health program planning. However, very few of the indicators have been assessed in terms of their validity and accuracy. This study aims to estimate the validity of two antenatal care coverage indicators related to nutrition (iron folate supplementation receipt and nutrition counseling) and to assess the current status and quality of antenatal care in a rural southern district of Nepal.
