JHU / Stantec Alliance

The Johns Hopkins Water Institute-Stantec Alliance (JHU-Stantec Alliance) was established in 2013 as an approach to provide innovative, sustainable solutions to global environmental issues and natural resource limitations by conducting desktop-, bench-, pilot- and demonstration-scale investigations needed to support sustainability science. Stantec is a major engineering firm that focuses on engineering, construction, and management of some of the largest and most technically advanced water, hydropower, mining and transportation projects for municipalities, governments and multi-national private corporations throughout the world. Johns Hopkins engineers, scientists, students and postdocs in collaboration with Hopkins-appointed MWH Stantec visiting scientists investigate the challenges associated with the world's global environmental megatrends that continue to drive increasingly complex environmental and public health issues with a focus on water reuse both domestically and internationally.
