MCSP Working with the Namibian Planned Parenthood Association

Under the MCSP work in Namibia, Jhpiego is working with the Namibian Planned Parenthood Association (NAPPA) to increase access to and quality of integrated HIV/SRH services for vulnerable populations, including adolescents and young women.  NAPPA is a non-profit organisation and is registered with the Ministry of Health and Social Services as a Welfare Organisation, providing health services in seven clinics throughout Namibia. NAPPA has the primary responsibility of working with young people between the ages of 10-24 in complementing the Government’s efforts to provide comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) information and services.

One of the program learning questions included in the MCSP Year 2 workplan is: "Assessing Feasibility and Accessibility to SRH and HIV services for adolescents at NAPPA facilities".  Throughout the next year the team will work on a formal study to find out more about this topic. The research will include a questionnaire, focus group discussions and a checklist for clinic sites.
